Dear Armstrong Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year at Armstrong Elementary School.  We are known as the “All-Stars” because of our commitment to excellence and our belief that all students are capable of achieving their fullest potential.

At Armstrong, our school family is committed to helping our children develop socially, emotionally, and academically in a nurturing and supportive environment.  We strive to provide a quality education that will become the foundation our students need to be confident, competitive, and successful in today’s global society.

Since 1935, Armstrong Elementary has been a vital part of the Eastover community.  We value our relationships with our school’s community and families.  We know that we could not help our students reach their fullest potential without the support of our families, our community, and our partners in education.

My name is Michelle Temple, and I am so excited to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal! I am honored to be a part of our school community and look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff throughout the school year.

I have been an educator with Cumberland County for 17 years and have had the opportunity to serve students and teachers in several different roles. I am passionate about creating a positive school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential.

Outside of school, I am a wife and mom of five, so I understand the importance of a strong partnership between families and schools. When I'm not at school, you will most likely find me spending time with my family, cheering on my kids, enjoying a good book, or relaxing at the beach.

One of my favorite things about education is getting to know students and celebrating their successes—both the big accomplishments and the small victories along the way. My goal as your Assistant Principal is to help make our school a place where students feel safe, loved, challenged, and excited to learn.

I am looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, growth, and lots of All-Star moments! Thank you for welcoming me into your school family.
