The Terry Sanford Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Anderson Veiga as the new Men's Cross Country Head Coach for the 2020-2021 school year and beyond! We are excited to have him as a part of our athletic department! Here is a little information about Mr. Veiga. Coach Veiga is passionate about sports in general but specifically running. He played competitive soccer in Brazil for many years and served in the US Army for 5 years, where he helped numerous soldiers reach their fitness goals. He is CPR/AED certified, a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, and a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was also a program director here in Fayetteville for Jeff Galloway, an Olympic marathon runner. You can often find Coach Veiga on streets and trails in and around Fayetteville as he runs 20-40 miles a week. Coach Veiga is excited about working with the young athletes at FTS for the upcoming Cross Country season!
