General Information:

  • School Improvement Team summer planning session is scheduled for Thursday, June 14 from 9 to 4. If necessary Friday, June 15th from 9 to 4. These meetings will be held in the media center of FTS.
  • Attention seniors the FTS PTA $500 scholarship for is still taking applications through Friday stop by guidance for an application.
  • Any student taking classes via NCVPS will be required to take their final exam at Terry Sanford if it is a CTE, EOC, or NC Final Exam. You can check with Mrs. Walker for your testing date and time. This exam will be 20% of your final grade so do not miss your exam.
  • If you were instructed to complete testing at FTCC so that your applications can be processed, you need to complete your testing NOW and bring your test results to Ms. Peterson ASAP.
  • Any student who wants to take a Teleconference Class next year – please email or see your counselor to register.

Athletic Information:

  • The banquet for track will be next Wednesday at 5 pm, stop by coach Cooper’s room for more info and be sure to give him your uniform if you haven’t already.
  • All Athletes if you need a new physical for the 18-19 school year Fayetteville Orthopaedics is offering $10 physicals on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 8 am-12 pm. Your parents must attend and you will need a blank physical form.  (forms available with Ms. McGowan or Ms. Vo)

Club Information:

  • National ART Honor Society Members: make sure you RSVP for the Banquet by tomorrow!
  • The last spin clinic for all those interested in the color guard for the marching band is today, starting in the band room at 3:45 and lasting until 7!
 Senior/Scholarship Information:

  • The NC State chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity is offering 4 one-time scholarships in the amounts of $1,000, $500, $150 and $100 to incoming freshmen men for the 2018 academic year!As a valued partner in education, we need your help in getting the word out about these scholarships. Will you please add this information to your scholarship page and pass it along to the graduating male seniors at your school who will be attending NC State for the Fall 2018 semester?SigEp is a leadership organization that will award over $225,000 at 180 campuses across the country through the Balanced Man Scholarship this year. Our mission is to Build Balanced Men and our goal is to reward men who exemplify the qualities of a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, as we believe these are two ideals essential to leading a balanced life.To qualify for the Balanced Man Scholarship, incoming students must submit an application by June 29th, 2018 and enroll full-time at NC State for the 2018 term. Applicants can apply online at: Applicants have no obligation to join or affiliate with SigEp to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • CCS Future Educators Program  – CCS Future Endeavors
  • Masonic Organization here in the Fayetteville, Community called “Edward Evans Consistory 196″One of many things that we do to support our community is awarding a $500 to $1000 to a deserving graduating High school Teenager. The way we raised money is through our annual dues, donations, and fundraisers. The Student must complete the packet and mailing instructions are provided. The Student would be required to attend the banquet along with a guardian so we can present the check to the Student and Parent. Attending the Banquet is free of course no charge for tickets or meals. Once selected the Awardee will be notified of the date, time and location.
    Masonic Temple Scholarship
  • Seniors, new scholarship opportunities have been posted in Edmodo. Don’t miss out on a chance to get college paid for! The code for the Edmodo page is in the Counseling Office on the Scholarship Board.
  • Seniors if you have received acceptance letters and/or scholarship offers and letters from the colleges and universities you have applied to, please make sure you get copies to your counselor. This information will be on display as well as logged in our scholarship report!
  • Mark your calendars for the eighth annual College Fair. This is a great opportunity to learn about academic programs, financial aid, registration requirements as well as the enrollment process. CACRAO. College Fair
  • Seniors who are applying to a college or university which require a counselor or teacher recommendation-remember that you will need to give a copy of a resume to your counselor and/or teacher so that they may write a recommendation for you. Counselors and teachers are receiving email notifications to submit recommendations online-but students have not submitted a copy of their resume to this individual. There are worksheet resumes in the counseling department for your convenience to fill out and leave with your counselor. There is also a Google Form that students can utilize on the Terry Sanford website. See the Student Services page under Forms…Student Recommendations Form.
  • It’s that time of year again to engage some of the seniors about the amazing Scholarship Opportunities available through the Horatio Alger Association. Currently, two $25,000 National Scholarships and twelve $10,000 state scholarships are available to NC graduating seniors, in addition to the new $2,500 CTE Scholarships for students who will attend a Technical or Community College.
  • NC State University
    College of EngineeringEngineering 2+2 Transfer Program at UNC Wilmington
    -A unique partnership between NC State and UNCW
    -Students complete the first two years of an undergraduate engineering degree at UNCW and then transfer to NC State to complete the degree in one of the 17-degree programs.
    -This program provides students an alternative pathway for admission to the NC State College of Engineering
