General Information:

  • Juniors – the Class of 19 field trip will be on April 30.  Only those Juniors who have paid their dues can participate.  Please pick up your permission form outside of Room 5. Forms are due by April 20.  This trip is FREE to those that paid dues! You can still pay your dues – $60.00.
  • Cumberland County Schools Advanced Placement Review Day will be on April 21, 2018 at Terry Sanford High School from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.  Review sessions will be available for a variety of AP courses. See Ms. Brady or your AP course instructor by April 13th to register for this event.
  • SENIORS – What are your plans after High School?  Wear a T-shirt or an outfit that show what your plans are for next year!
  • Into the Woods, the spring musical, tonight at 6:30.  Make plans to see your fellow Bulldogs onstage tonight, or Saturday at 2:00 or 6:30. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door: $5 for students, $8 for adults.
  • Drivers Ed rosters for Spring II classroom have been posted outside the media center, guidance and main office, Classes will start Tuesday, April 10 in room 55 or 215.
Athletic Information:

  • Congratulations to the Lacrosse team for 13-9 win over rivals JBHS. Greyson B. had 7 goals and Mattie D. had 3. Lainey C., Hannah T., and Christine B. all had a goal a piece. Goalie Pearl Y. had numerous saves and defense was key. The lacrosse team is now 4-1 in Conference play.
  • The girls soccer team defeated PFHS 2-0. Maya P. scored a goal assisted by big sister Talia P. Talia also scored a goal from a corner kick by Corrine S. The Bulldogs are now 8-0 and in first place in the PAC9 conference. They are also currently ranked 2nd in the State in the Maxprep 3A rankings.
  • The athletic training room will be closed today.
  • JV Baseball will play a make up game today March 23 at 5:00 pm versus Cape Fear.
  • Congratulations to the track and field teams that competed yesterday. Top performances from the meet came from the boys 4×100 team which was anchored by Devon M. Devon fought back to earn the team a first place finish as he strided down the final straight away. In the girls 1600 meter run the bulldogs took the top 4 spots as freshman Yvonne H. led the team, followed by senior Sophie H., freshman Emma M., and finally freshman Marissa M. Good luck to Devon M. as he will travel to Cardinal Gibbons tomorrow to represent the bulldogs in the elite 200 meter dash and elite 110 hurdles races.
Club Information:

  • Ladies of Quality Meeting Tuesday March 27th at 3:40pm in the Media Center.
  • SkillsUSA will meet on Monday March 26 at 3:45 in rm32.
  • Student2Student please meet in Guidance at the top of third for a brief meeting.
Senior/Scholarship Information:

  • Seniors, new scholarship opportunities have been posted in Edmodo. Don’t miss out on a chance to get college paid for! The code for the Edmodo page is in the Counseling Office on the Scholarship Board.
  • Seniors if you have received acceptance letters and/or scholarship offers and letters from the colleges and universities you have applied to, please make sure you get copies to your counselor. This information will be on display as well as logged in our scholarship report!
  • Mark your calendars for the eighth annual College Fair. This is a great opportunity to learn about academic programs, financial aid, registration requirements as well as the enrollment process. CACRAO. College Fair
  • Seniors who are applying to a college or university which require a counselor or teacher recommendation-remember that you will need to give a copy of a resume to your counselor and/or teacher so that they may write a recommendation for you. Counselors and teachers are receiving email notifications to submit recommendations online-but students have not submitted a copy of their resume to this individual. There are worksheet resumes in the counseling department for your convenience to fill out and leave with your counselor. There is also a Google Form that students can utilize on the Terry Sanford website. See the Student Services page under Forms…Student Recommendations Form.
  • It’s that time of year again to engage some of the seniors about the amazing Scholarship Opportunities available through the Horatio Alger Association. Currently, two $25,000 National Scholarships and twelve $10,000 state scholarships are available to NC graduating seniors, in addition to the new $2,500 CTE Scholarships for students who will attend a Technical or Community College.
  • NC State University
    College of EngineeringEngineering 2+2 Transfer Program at UNC Wilmington
    -A unique partnership between NC State and UNCW
    -Students complete the first two years of an undergraduate engineering degree at UNCW and then transfer to NC State to complete the degree in one of the 17-degree programs.
    -This program provides students an alternative pathway for admission to the NC State College of Engineering
