  • The PSAT will be administered on October 11th at TSHS. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT, but it’s more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.
  • Mark your calendars for the eighth annual College Fair. This is a great opportunity to learn about academic programs, financial aid, registration requirements as well as the enrollment process. CACRAO. College Fair
  • Seniors who are applying to a college or university which require a counselor or teacher recommendation-remember that you will need to give a copy of a resume to your counselor and/or teacher so that they may write a recommendation for you. Counselors and teachers are receiving email notifications to submit recommendations online-but students have not submitted a copy of their resume to this individual. There are worksheet resumes in the counseling department for your convenience to fill out and leave with your counselor. There is also a Google Form that students can utilize on the Terry Sanford website. See the Student Services page under Forms…Student Recommendations Form.

Image of fruit and veggies. Eat More Fruits & Veggies! Most people know that eating fruits and vegetables is important for good health, but most of us still aren’t getting enough. This September, let’s participate in Fruits & Veggies – More Matters Month. Eating a healthy diet with plenty of vegetables and fruits can help you lower your risk for heart disease and some types of cancer, maintain or reach a healthy weight, and keep your body strong and active. Here are some ideas to help you and your family fit more fruits and vegetables into your day. Try keeping a bowl of fruit handy where the whole family can see it, cut up fruits and veggies ahead of time so they’re ready for quick, healthy snacks, and challenge your family to try a new veggie or fruit every week. Remember, eating more fruits and veggies can be fun and worth it!
