  • For current Seniors: Please open the attached flyer for instructions on how to submit your information for the Live United Service Cord.  Live United Service Cord
  • This is a friendly reminder that student registration for Splash UNC Spring 2017 is open until Thursday, March 23 at midnight. High school students can enroll or refine their class schedules at splashunc.com until this day.Splash UNC is a biannual program where high school students attend a series of classes taught and created by Carolina students. Classes include a variety of interesting topics ranging from chemistry and swing dancing to neuroscience and Harry Potter.Splash UNC is hosting its fifth biannual program for high school students on Saturday, April 1 from 9 am to 5 pm. The program fee is $20 and lunch is included. We offer aid to any student who needs financial assistance to attend the event.
  • All HOSA students competing at the state conference should see Mrs. Gonzales as soon as possible to pick up your field trip form.
  • The 3 v 3 tournaments sign up sheets will be located outside of room 220. If you are interested in playing in the tournament please take a sign up sheet and return it to Mr. Hight’s room with your teams $9 as soon as possible.
  • For all 10th grade students that are interested in being a waitress or waiter at this year’s prom, please stop by your homeroom teacher and let them know by the end of today.
  • If you need help with a prom dress and would like to go to Cinderella’s Closet.  Please see Mrs. Stevenson by March 20th.
  • March 16th – PTA Scholarship Information Meeting- At 4 pm in the media center, must be present to apply.
  • FCCLA members are being reminded about our games evening on Thursday, March 16, starting at 4:00 pm in room 29. Bring a friend and a game. Come have fun interacting with each other!
  • Tuesday, March 21st will be our 4th  global dining out.  This month we are visiting Latin America at El Cazador on 301 by the new Walmart from 5-9.  Join us for fun, good food and fellowship.  Help out the global studies program by telling your waitress you are a Terry Sanford Student.   See you there!
  • There are 2 spots left for the 10th-grade campus tour of FSU/MU on 3/29!  Please stop by Ms. Brady’s office with $3.00 to sign up.
  • FRIDAY: FRIENDS Club meeting after school for a lucky drawing and a picture in front of the Friendship House  Fayetteville sign. Please bring or wear a t-shirt and meet in room 14 after school.
  • It’s not too late to join Mr. FTS. Turn in your forms asap.  It is $5 to enter.  Winner gets $50 gift card.  Forms are outside of Mr. Hight’s room and on the SGA board.
  • In need of volunteer hours check out the Global studies board for information!   St. Andrews Academy is looking for helpers April 1st for their 10th Annual Truck Touch.  Also, Fort Bragg’s  All American Marathon and Mike to Mike Half Marathon on March 26th is looking for volunteers to help hand out water along the route.   Stop by the Global office or  Board by Cafeteria for more information.
  • On Saturday FTS hosted the Regional Quiz Bowl competition and our Bulldogs were the winners. They now go to States on the 18th March and a strong performance there may earn them an invitation to the Nationals in Atlanta in May.
  • For anyone interested in playing volleyball next year or are interested in becoming a manager, there will be a brief interest meeting Wednesday, March 22 at 3:40 in room 26.
  • The 2017 scholarship cycle for Cumberland Community Foundation is now open. Information needed to begin the online application process is located on our website:http://www.cumberlandcf.org/scholarships-2/how-to-apply-2/.The deadline for application completion is March 31, 2017, by 11:59 PM.Students need to follow the instructions on our website (link above) to see a description of each scholarship and the criteria they have to meet in order to apply for each scholarship.
  • Robert N. Shuller/SfL+a Architects Scholarship:Students may apply who meet ALL of these requirements:
    · High school degree or equivalent (GED)
    · Accepted by an accredited community college, college or university in an architecture major or related field, such as CADD drafting, urban planning, graphic design.Priorities:
    The Scholarship Selection Committee shall consider the following priorities equally:
    · Merit based on exhibited talent, commitment, and enthusiasm to the process and profession of architecture.· Prior acceptance into a “design program” that required a portfolio submission.· References from teachers, a member of the architectural profession.· Past participation as a volunteer in community service activities.· Understanding of their choice of architecture and its related fields for their career.

    · Prior work and or creative endeavors.

    Students may apply for this scholarship and any other scholarships we have available through our online scholarship application by going to www.cumberlandcf.org and for scholarships. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2017, at 11:59 PM.

  • Junior League Scholarships
    Deadline: March 24, 2017
    Junior League scholarship applications are now online at:
    https://www.jlfay.org/?nd=scholarship.
  • The CCC North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals, Inc. awards annual scholarships in the amount of $2,500. Applications are received on the local level with winners advancing to District, State, and National competition. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, initiative, and financial need. An alternate recipient shall be selected.See attachment for application and scholarship eligibility requirements.
