Future Educator candidates are current high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in education and who commit to teaching with Cumberland County Schools for a minimum of three years upon completion of their teacher preparation programs. General Information:

  • SENIORS! If your name is on the Missing CPR posters hanging around the building, you need to make sure you see Coach Wyrick for your scheduled make-up day. CPR certification is required to graduate. Check out the posters or see your counselor if you aren’t sure you have it. Today is the LAST DAY Coach Wyrick has sessions set up. Do NOT miss out!
  • The COHO dance will be held on Saturday, February 23rd from 7 to 10 in our cafeteria. $5 for FTS students and $10 for outside guests. ID’s are REQUIRED.
  • Driver’s Education applications for the 2nd Spring session, beginning March 26th, are available in the main office. Applications are due by TODAY!
  • What runs for 6 weeks, pays $8.00 per hour, improves your soft skills and looks great on a college application? The ICON Internship program! See your counselor or Ms. Brooks in room 53 for more information.
  • Tutors are ready to help you after school today.   Add the code: @ftstut to your remind code account to stay in touch, again it’s @ftstut.  The road to better grades and understanding is only a remind code away! Tutoring Monday thru Thursday in room 224 (west wing) from 3:40 to 4:30.
  • Seniors – are you volunteering?  Want to earn a cord for graduation? – the Live United cord can be yours if you complete 50 hours of volunteer service during your senior year.  Stop by room 225 or see Mrs. Vajner for the online form. Due date is April 26th. Speaking of volunteer hours, Global students – your deadline for volunteer hours is approaching quickly – April 30th – all hours are due to Mrs. Vajner in the Global Office by April 30th.  Need a volunteer log form, swing by room 225 or the global office for copies.

ICON Internship

Summer Internship program for students. The internship program runs June 3–July 12, 2019, and is open to Cumberland County residents ages 16-24. Students will work 32 hours per week for six weeks at a rate of $8.00 per hour.

There are mandatory events participants must attend to include a preparatory workshop to build soft skills and prepare for interviews with the business partners providing the internships. Internships are not guaranteed. Students must compete!

CCS PARTNERS WITH ARBITER SPORTS TO DETERMINE PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Cumberland County Schools has partnered with Arbiter Sports to digitize all of our Bulldog Logoeligibility paperwork.

  • You can complete all requirements online on a computer, tablet, or phone.
  • Parents and students are requested to complete athletic participation paperwork online for the 2018-19 school year.
  • Please use this site to follow your favorite teams and to register your child for all the sports they want to play this year.
  • Please click on this link to open the Arbiter Live Sports Website.
  • Please select the “Pre-participation” tab on the left of the Arbiter Live page under the team logo, where you will find video tutorials on their site to assist you in registering your child.
