This Christmas, give someone the gift of sight. Come eat at Chipotle this Thursday from 5 to 9. If you mention that you’re from Terry Sanford, 50% of your purchase will be used by the FTS VISION club to fund eye surgeries for people in need from Africa and Asia.

Operation Toy Drop

The Terry Sanford High School community is partnering with Operation Toy Drop this year to collect as many new toys for children in North Carolina, the United States and around the world who would otherwise receive nothing. This is the 20th year of the collection drive sponsored by the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command at Fort Bragg.

We will be collecting toys at this Friday's football game versus Jacksonville, as well as at all other home events such as the chorus, band and orchestra concerts and winter sports home games between now and Dec 15, 2017  Please support our efforts by donating a toy during your next visit to Terry Sanford. Donations may also be dropped off to the main office during the school day.  Dates for participation are below: Home Athletic Events (Donate at the Gate) Football- Nov 17; Basketball- Dec 8 and 15; Wrestling- Nov 21 and Dec 13 . Home Concerts (Donate in the Auditorium Lobby)- Dance Nov 28; Orchestra- Dec 7; Chorus- Dec 12; Alma Easom Winter Concert Dec 13 and 14

Daily Announcements & Upcoming Events

  • Any Junior or Senior who would like to add an FTCC class in the Spring Semester – please see your counselor this week to make that change in your schedule.
  • Any student – 9th-12th grades – can add a Teleconference Class to the Spring Semester – see your counselor this week to add the class to your spring schedule.
  • Key Club is currently working on a project called “A Key Club Christmas”. Members are collecting donations to send to admitted patients for Christmas; If you want to help out, Key Club asks that you bring in any of the following donations: small toys, coloring books, colored pencils & markers, fuzzy socks, children’s books, card games, small puzzles, Play-Doh, stickers, or puzzle books. Items must be in the original packaging to be donated. Any donations need to be brought to Mrs. Steffen in room 212 by Wednesday, December 13th. Let’s help make this a great Christmas for the patients admitted to Duke University Children’s Hospital.
  • ROTC is sponsoring their annual Winter Coat Drive through December 15! Please drop off CLEAN warm wear including long sleeves, sweatpants, hoodies, and jackets to the ROTC Rm 60.

CCS PARTNERS WITH ARBITER SPORTS TO DETERMINE PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Cumberland County Schools has partnered with Arbiter Sports to digitize all of our Bulldog Logoeligibility paperwork.

  • You can complete all requirements online on a computer, tablet, or phone.
  • Parents and students are requested to complete athletic participation paperwork online for the 2017-18 school year.
  • Please use this site to follow your favorite teams and to register your child for all the sports they want to play this year.
  • Please click on this link to open the Arbiter Live Sports Website.
  • Please select the “Pre-participation” tab on the left of the Arbiter Live page under the team logo, where you will find video tutorials on their site to assist you in registering your child.
  • Please contact Liz McGowan, Athletic Director at (910)484-1151, if you have any questions about this new process.
